I’m a Malagasy designer and founder of myMitoo: An ethical fashion brand that preserves and reflects the culture and heritage of Madagascar.
From my east coast hometown of Mahanoro, I came to the capital city Antananarivo.
2009: studied urban architecture 2012 to 2014 worked as a webmaster for a Web agency and the magazine, “No Comment.”
2014: 2nd place in a fashion designer contest at the Festival des Arts Métisses and awarded for best young fashion designer at the Tendances Show Madagascar.
2015: started a fashion service from my small urban apartment while still working full time as a webmaster.
2017: selected to be part of the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) to follow the Mandela Washington Fellowship (MWF) ; a 6-week training program at the University of Lehigh in the United States.
2020: launched Mymitoo; a sustainable clothing and accessories brand for both men and women. Collaborated with one of the biggest shoe leather brands in Madagascar, Aigle d’or and chosen to design their Christmas collection.
2021: an article published in Le Monde Afrique for my role in Madagascar “slow” fashion – conscious fashion for conscious consumers.
Recently chosen by NextA Madagascar to help continue my career and passion within the fashion industry.
